The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is proud to present the culminating installment in the ChocoLAte Talk & Tasting series, “For Love, Family & Chocolate.”
As the last of three evening events designed to further expand upon the ongoing ChocoLAte: From Beans to Bliss online video series, “For Love, Family & Chocolate” will take a deep look at the connections between community, cultural traditions and chocolate. Featuring an hour-long discussion with Jeffrey and Robbie Jacobs of Uncle Eddie’s Vegan Cookies and Paulina Lopez-Velazquez, Co-owner of Guelaguetza & I Love Micheladas (and moderated by NHM’s Program Manager of Community Engagement and ChocoLAte series contributor, Justin Ramos), the group will share stories about their roots in chocolate and their success in the industry.
With a focus on allowing guests to explore and build connections over chocolate, each guest will also receive a chocolate tasting from Uncle Eddie’s Vegan Cookies and Guelaguetza with admission. While the ChocoLAte video series will continue to share the stories behind these local chocolatiers and influential figures, the Talk & Tasting series presents an opportunity to meet and directly learn from these experts.
In order to continue the celebration of culture, heritage, and history of the people who call L.A. home (even beyond a shared love of chocolate), select first-floor exhibitions will be on view before and after the conversation. Space is limited to approximately 60 guests, with tickets available online now at the link below.
