What is geek therapy?
Geek Out, Do Good
We advocate for the effective and meaningful use of popular media in therapeutic, educational, and community practice. We provide education and resources so helping professionals, educators, and community leaders can better understand the communities they serve, through media that matters.
Geek Therapy Model
An affinity-based model of therapeutic intervention and communication based on the theory that the best way to understand each other, and ourselves, is through the media we care about.
Resources
In addition to the GT Network, Geek Therapy U hosts free courses on the use of Geek Therapy and the GT Library is an open-source, reference database of content, characters, themes, and activities for practitioners.
GT Network
A growing collection of informative podcasts, videos, blogs, and livestreams created by Geek Therapy staff and community members, to support using Geek culture in therapeutic, educational, and community practice.
Community
