IMAGE/GHOST MACHINE’S ROOK: EXODUS DOUBLE SELL-OUT AHEAD OF SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON, SERIES RUSHED BACK TO PRINT

Author: Newsroom

SAN DIEGO 07/25/2024 — Rook: Exodus #2 and Rook: Exodus #3 by Geoff Johns (Geiger, Superman, Batman: Three Jokers), Jason Fabok (Batman: Three Jokers), with colorist Brad Anderson, and letterer Rob Leigh have both sold out completely at the distributor level ahead of the many Ghost Machine-related programming and announcements at San Diego Comic-Con this year (visit Ghost Machine booth #1629). Both issues will be rushed back to print by Image Comics in order to keep up with escalating demand.

“Geoff and I are thrilled that Rook’s audience is continuing to grow and more fans are getting the chance to jump onto the early issues of the series,” said Fabok. “The enthusiasm we’re receiving from fans and retailers is matched by our own love for this character and series.”

In Rook: Exodus, hundreds of years from now, the man known as Rook was once a simple farmer who fled the crumbling Earth for a new life on the planet Exodus; a terraformed planet where all of nature, including its imported animal population, was completely controlled by humans called Wardens. But when Exodus’ world engine failed, the Wardens’ power fell into the wrong hands, creating chaos and mass evacuation…for those who could afford it. The rest, like Rook, must scavenge for an escape vessel as the war for control of what’s left of Exodus begins.

Rook: Exodus #2, second printing (Lunar Code 0324IM952) and Rook: Exodus #3, second printing (Lunar Code 0324IM952) will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, August 21.
