LOS ANGELES 09/17/2024 — We proudly present a holiday special of petrifying proportions! Today Skybound and Image Comics announced the creative talent behind the Creepshow 2024 Holiday Special. The all-new one-shot of the Eisner Award nominated comic book anthology based on Greg Nicotero’s hit Shudder TV series produced and licensed by Cartel Entertainment will hit comic book shops on December 18, 2024.
Brian Witten is overseeing on behalf of Nicotero’s Monster Agency Productions.
Creepshow is here to make sure you have a ho-ho-horrifying holiday season with two terrifying tales! First, A New Year’s Eve party gets fiendish as Tini Howard (Catwoman), Blake Howard (Punchline), and Stevan Subic (The Riddler: Year One) will have you crying for your mummy in the new year! Then, beloved comedian Terry Reno revisits a holiday classic, from the Petrol Head team of Rob Williams and Pye Parr, that quickly takes a shocking turn before a live studio audience!
“The holidays wouldn’t be the same without a cheerful dose of horror, mayhem and cannibalism,” noted creep and series editor Ben Abernathy. “Our annual Creepshow Holiday Special is a treat to be enjoyed with your loved ones.”
In addition to the main cover by Martín Morazzo & Chris O’Halloran (Ice Cream Man), the Creepshow 2024 Holiday Special comes with variant covers including an open to order cover by Pye Parr and the continuation of the 1:10 incentive connecting cover series by Steve Beach (Action Comics).
Elsewhere in Creepshow lineups, Volume 3’s all-star creative roster includes Chip Zdarsky (Batman), Kagan McLeod (Kaptara), James Stokoe (Godzilla), Eugenio Mira (Grand Piano), John Ridley (12 Years a Slave), Jorge Fornés (Rorschach), Stefano Raffaele (Detective Comics), John Arcudi (B.P.R.D.), Chris Condon (That Texas Blood), Shawn McManus (Fables), Martín Morazzo (Ice Cream Man), Mike Carey (Lucifer), Mark Torres (Cold Spots), Acky Bright (DC vs Vampires), Ed Brisson (The Displaced), and others to be announced.
