(Thousand Oaks, CA) – Award-winning comic Kathleen Madigan brings her uproarious new stand-up show The Day Drinking Tour to the Fred Kavli Theatre, Friday, March 27, 2026, at 8:00 pm.

As a premiere stand-up comedian for the last three decades, Madigan sells out marquee theaters across the country and is one of the few female comedians to tour over 250 days a year. Coming from a long line of Midwestern union workers, Madigan has always approached stand-up as a job and by doing so has established herself as one of the most successful road comics ever.

In addition to touring, Madigan has released six stand-up specials including her most recent 2023 special, Hunting Bigfoot, on Amazon Prime. The special won the Interrobangs’s 2023 Comedy Special of the Year as voted on by fans. Her previous special, Bothering Jesus, released on NETFLIX, became the highest selling album and most played comedy album on streaming services since 2015. This April, Madigan filmed her highly anticipated 7th stand-up special at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee, WI. The special will premiere later this fall with a date to be announced soon.

Over her career, she’s squeezed in over 40 appearances on late-night talk shows and multiple comedy specials airing on Netflix, Comedy Central, and HBO. She also joined Jerry Seinfeld on his Netflix show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and made the most of the pandemic by launching a podcast, “Madigan’s Pubcast,” on all streaming outlets.

Madigan is the only comedian in the history of NBC’s Last Comic Standing to go unchallenged by any other comedian–meaning no comedian would say they were funnier than her; Madigan was a top three finalist in Season 2 and a judge on Season 5.  She has done live remotes and commentary on numerous shows including Dr. Phil, E!, TV Guide Network, VH1, ESPN 2 and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

She’s won the American Comedy Award for “Best Female Comedian” and the Phyllis Diller award for “Best Female Comedian.” She has written and produced for Lewis Black’s “Root of All Evil” on Comedy Central and done multiple USO tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
