JULY 22, 2024, (PORTLAND, OR) — It’s been a big decade for the renowned graphic novel publisher, Magnetic Press!Â
To kick off their 10th Anniversary celebration, the publisher began with the launch of MAGNETIC-CON, the Magnetic Press VIRTUAL convention booth filled with exclusive and limited edition items echoing their stellar catalog of titles, and is now off to San Diego Comic-Con international with a very exciting panel that will unveil key titles of their 2025 rollout!
Most recently, Magnetic Press had demonstrated much success at the helm of crowdfunding, featuring RPG games such as Planet of The Apes designed by Andrew E.C. Gaska with art by Bill Sienkiewicz and others, as well as celebrated titles such as Guillaume Singelin’s Éco-Fauve Raja Award-winning Frontier; the high-speed cyberpunk tale No Future by Jacques Lob prize-winning screenwriter Corbeyran, and the Tezucomi manga hardcover collection which features new takes on the beloved Astro Boy, Unico, Black Jack, Big X, Dororo, Songoku, and Kimba.
For upcoming releases, Magnetic Press will be releasing Lost Letters and My Dear Pierrot by the Award-winning wunderkind creator Jim Bishop; Aster of Pan: The Source by author and illustrator Merwan with an exclusive variant cover painted by fan-favorite artist Peach Momoko; Monte Cristo by written by Jordan Mechner (the creator of the renowned Prince of Persia video game franchise), with illustrations by Albertarelli award-winning Italian comic book artist, Mario Alberti; and The George Bess Collection of Classic Horror OGNs, including Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstien, and the newest addition to the series, Victor Hugo‘s The Hunchback of Notre Dame!

Writer/publisher Mike Kennedy (Star Wars, Lone Wolf 2100) celebrates Magnetic Press’s 10th anniversary and takes a look at current and upcoming projects, including the official Planet of the Apes RPG with lead writer/designer Andrew E.C. Gaska (Alien RPG, Terminator RPG), and David Avallone (Star Wars RPG). They will also showcase their 2025 titles with acclaimed design studio Label 619 (Frontier, Midnight Order) and present a first glimpse at the forthcoming Wayseeker interactive adventure book series based on several popular properties.
With a grand total of 30 nominations, this year Magnetic Press takes on the Eisner awards for BEST ADAPTATION FROM ANOTHER MEDIUM The Monkey King: The Complete Odyssey, adapted by Chaiko, translation by Dan Christensen, BEST PAINTER/MULTIMEDIA ARTIST (INTERIOR ART) Chaiko, The Monkey King, and BEST PUBLICATION DESIGN for Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein boxed set, designed by Mike Kennedy.
