March Brings Fresh Releases and Exciting Returns Across All Platforms

Author: Greg Lozano

Folks, we are so close to Spring and not only are the flowers about to be in bloom, but so are the number of titles to release. March is packed with a good assortment of titles with some that were previously console exclusive now reaching other platforms as well as some solid choices to play in 2025. I was going to add a section for games to release on PS+, Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch, but that information isn’t as available for some consoles as others, and some titles don’t release until their street date on things such as Game Pass, so that was just included in the Xbox section for those that have it.

There are several titles hitting PlayStation Plus for those frugal gamers that choose to stick with what free games are offered, those being Dragon Age: Veilgard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection. For more information about these titles, you can find it on the PlayStation Blog here.

PC

Two Point Museum – March 4
Genre: Comedic Business Sim / Single Player / Price: 29.99
Anyone that is a fan of the Planet Zoo style games will find incredible enjoyment with this title as it is the same model with many of the features perfected in a way that just feels right. Topped with well timed humor and many may find it difficult to pull themselves away from this title.

Split Fiction  – March 6
Genre: Co-op Action Adventure / 2 Players required / Price: 49.99
From the team that brought the award winning It Takes Two comes out with a new co-op game titled Split Fiction where you take control of two different authors. One specializes in fantasy while the other specializes in Sci-Fi. It’s not often when EA publishes something for an affordable price, and honestly, this studio is fantastic and deserves attention.

Dragonkin: The Banished  – March 6
Genre: Action RPG / Single Player / Price Not Disclosed for Early Access
An action RPG reminiscent of Diablo with a lore heavy world centered around dragon and those that the dragons corrupt. This game will release on consoles later in the year.

Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone  – March 6
Genre: Shooter with options of 1st or 3rd person / Single Player / Price Not Disclosed for Early Access
A shooter with RPG elements that allow for customizations of your character

FragPunk  – March 6
Genre: Hero Shooter / 5v5 / Price: 9.99
Most Hero Shooters come out as free. Though 10 dollars is not a bad model if it isn’t ladened with microtransactions, it unfortunately is going up against some heavy hitters in the genre like Overwatch 2 or Marvel Rivals which means that it will need to have some substantial unique features to stand out against the competition.

Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars – March 6
Genre: JRPG \ Strategy RPG / Single Player / Price: 49.99
Komani is back at releasing titles that were beloved in years past. These two games were absolutely excellent when they first released so many years ago, so for those looking to relive that nostalgia or know what kind or RPGs your parents were into, here’s a great introduction.

Wanderstop – March 11
Genre: Cozy Tea Shop Management / Single Player / Price: Not Listed
The team that developed The Stanley Parable is responsible for the creation of this game, and if you are not familiar with that title, just know that the writing was top notch, and the team really worked at trying to respond to everything you would engage in. If you like cozy and honestly an incredible team that worked on something like this, I recommend checking out the free demo that is available.

Rise of the Ronin  – March 11
Genre: Open World RPG / Single Player & Online Co-op / Price: 49.99
This game released previously on PlayStation and is now making its way onto PC. It is developed by Team Ninja, the team responsible for the Ninja Gaiden series which took plenty of inspiration from such, as well as the title Ghost of Tsushima. Players will navigate through 19th Century, war-torn Japan in this adventure.

FATE: Reawakened – March 12

WWE 2K25 – March 14
Genre: Sports Wrestling / Single or Multiplayer / Price: 69.99 – 129.99

MySims: Cozy Bundle – March 18
Genre: Chibi Sim / Single Player / Price: 39.99

Assassin’s Creed Shadows – March 20
Genre: Stealth Open World Action with RPG elements / Single Player / Price: 69.99 – 89.99
The frugal gamer in me would like to remind all of you that this game will be for sale at 34.99 Black Friday, so if you have no FOMO, then feel free to wait a bit to enjoy it for less.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories and the Envisioned Land – March 21
Genre: Japanese Story Driven RPG / Single Player / Price: 59.99 – 149.99

A great price for what has been reviewed in positive praise. This looks like it blends a bit of soulslike along with more RPG elements.

Atomfall – March 27
Genre: 3rd Person Survival / Single Player / Price: 49.99
Looks like every other 3rd person survival game with what one would expect from average animation. If it’s your thing, it may be fun, but there are so many survival games out there with a unique influence that this looks about average. Free for Game Pass holders.

The First Berserker: Khazan – March 27
Genre: 3rd Person Action / Single Player / Price: 59.99
Another 3rd person action game that fills the check marks of a game. Looks like it could be a decent play and could be enjoyable during a game sale when it’s marked at 29.99

inZOI (PC) – March 28
Genre: Person Sim / Single Player / Price: N/A Early Access
Looking to rival that of the Sims with an even more in depth designer to characters and the world. It looks like this studio is really working to rival the mark that EA has made.

Xbox

Dungeons of Hinterberg (PS4, PS5) – March 13
Genre: Cozy RPG \ Dungeon Crawler / Single Player : Price 14.99
Last July when I first talked about this, I mentioned how great of a concept it was to have a collection of resort style games with some adventures against monsters. Reviewers for the most part enjoyed this title but have stated that the combat was the one thing that was lacking in this otherwise enjoyable game. Well it’s now available on PlayStation, so enjoy!

This game has an insanely great soundtrack, and an incredible way of making the world around you feel so large, yet, incredibly easy to explore after a certain point. Yeah, pick this one up if you enjoy any of the other titles in this franchise.
