Quiet After the Storm

By Josué

Hi! Josué here!

I’m currently in Puerto Rico, where 3.4 million people are dealing with the effects of hurricane Maria, so I wanted to update you on my status and that of Geek Therapy.

I was born in Puerto Rico and moved back here a few months ago to be closer to family. In that sense, I’m glad I am here. While some people have barely been able to contact family members, I’ve been with my mom the entire time.

I live in San Juan, a big metropolitan area, so things aren’t too bad here. Still, today is day 16 of limited access to electricity, water, and telecommunication for my family but it has been more tolerable thanks to our playing games together and talking about what we’ve been reading or watching to pass the time. Also, I love my Nintendo Switch more than anything else in the world right now. =)

As for Geek Therapy, thankfully we have a network of shows now so you can continue to enjoy new episodes of Jedi Counsel, Geeks & Family Therapy, Rolling for Change, and weekly streams on Twitch.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to publish of episodes of Geek Therapy, PsychTech, and Headshots and I have no idea when they will be back. Hopefully soon. We’ll take this opportunity to do a soft relaunch of Geek Therapy (what I’m calling season 3) and PsychTech will hit episode 100 before the end of the year. I’ll keep you posted.

If you’ve seen the news and want to help out Puerto Rico, you can donate to relief efforts at this website run by the first lady of Puerto Rico. Around this time I was planning on officially launching Geek Therapy’s Patreon page and I haven’t been able to do that they way I wanted but if you want to get an early start on becoming a patron to support the Geek Therapy network and future projects, you can become a patron here.

I’ll continue to update you as I am able. Thanks for being a member of the community and I look forward to being in touch again soon.
