Taking place Thursday, July 24 from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM in Room 29CD, this fan-favorite event returns with an all-star lineup of composers and sound designers who shape the sonic landscapes of your favorite shows and movies.
From action-packed karate scenes to deep sci-fi themes and psychological thrillers, the panel will explore how music becomes its own form of storytelling.
This Year’s Featured Panelists:
- Amanda Jones – Murderbot (Apple TV+)
- Phil McGowan – Cobra Kai (Netflix)
- Dominic Lewis – Karate Kid: Legends (Sony Pictures)
- Will Bates – The Better Sister (Prime Video)
- Kurt Farquhar – Absolute Dominion (Giant Pictures)
Moderated by Eric Bauza – actor and voice of Looney Tunes Cartoons
From orchestration to mixing, panelists will share their creative processes, behind-the-scenes stories, and how scoring can enhance character, tension, and emotional resonance. Whether you’re a music nerd, aspiring composer, or just someone who gets chills during the end credits, this session is for you.
