TOArts Presents Paul McDonald & The Mourning Doves at the Stagecoach Inn Museum

(Thousand Oaks, CA) – Paul McDonald & The Mourning Doves will take the stage at the Stagecoach Inn Museum on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 7 PM, delivering their signature blend of rock and Americana infused with soul, gospel, and Southern rock influences.

It’s hard to overstate just how distinctive Paul McDonald’s voice and presence truly are. Instantly recognizable and impossible to ignore, his vocals leave a lasting impression—and once you’ve seen him live, he’s not someone you easily forget.

McDonald’s last full-length album dropped in 2018. In the years that followed, he wrote and recorded several more—only to shelve them all. Burned out and financially drained after endlessly chasing a sound that never quite landed, he stepped away from the studio grind and returned to the one place that had always made sense: the stage.

With a new band, The Mourning Doves, McDonald began gigging anywhere that would have them—from dive bars to juke joints—stripping everything back to the essentials: raw, honest songs played loud. That stripped-down spirit found its home during a month-long residency at The Underdog in East Nashville, where word of mouth sparked a grassroots buzz. And finally, the sound McDonald had been chasing for years showed up—unforced, authentic, and undeniable.

All shows are outdoors, so please dress accordingly. Festival seating, Bring a chair or blanket and your own food and drink.
