2 Surveys, For Science

At Geek Therapy, we love science. (Who doesn’t love science?) So below we are highlighting two gaming-related surveys that grad students we know are conducting. Please pass these along to others who also love science.

Survey #1: Play Experiences and Social Support in MMORPGs

Natasha Lewis Harrington was recently on the Geek Therapy Podcast and she is conducting dissertation research designed to explore play experiences and social support in players of Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs). It take about 20 minutes to complete and she’s looking for participants who consider that they regularly play MMORPGs.

Survey #2: Coping and Video Games

This survey by Lara Taylor of Therapeutic Code will only take a couple of minutes to complete and deals with gaming more broadly. She’s studying how people may be using video games as a coping strategy.
