Lake Forest, CA – November 21, 2018 – Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of board games, trading cards, and physical and digital collectibles, and Igrology, a company behind numerous innovative board games, today announced the November 28 release of Cult: Choose Your God Wisely. This 2-5 player board game is a worker/Priest placement game with a unique take on in-game currency: Followers. Players choose Gods and send their Priests to places in the Eternal City to bring their deity victory over the minds and souls of humanity. Followers are gained and sacrificed, and Altars are built to the different Gods as they clash in this new take on the genre.
Cult: Choose Your God Wisely can be played now on Tabletopia, a virtual platform for board games co-founded by Igrology, allowing people to check it out before purchasing the physical game. It is among the platform’s top 10 most popular releases, boasting over 600 titles.

In Cult: Choose Your God Wisely, each player chooses one of eight Gods—Cthulhu, Janus, Fafnir, and Arachne, among others—for his or her Cult to follow, with each deity having special abilities that determine the best strategy for victory. In the Intention Phase, players place their free Priests onto Locations on the board, with more Locations becoming available as a Cult gains Followers. During the Resolution Phase, a winner is determined in each Location based on the Influence of the players’ Priests, with Miracle and Intrigue Cards capable of dramatically changing each conflict’s outcome. The player who wins a Location can use its unique benefits, while the other present players receive alms for their cause in the form of coins.
A player can win the game in various ways: building five Altars to their deity, controlling four Fanatical Mobs, or performing the Summoning of his or her God twice.
Cult: Choose Your God Wisely will be available at hobby retailers across the U.S. starting November 28 for a retail price of $60.
