By becoming Geek Therapy® Certified, you’ll show the world that you’ve learned our affinity-based theory, mindset, and techniques and are committed to using Geek culture and popular media in a professional and ethical manner.

Geek Therapy’s mission is to advocate for and teach the effective and meaningful use of popular media in therapeutic, educational, and community practice. Our organization stewards the Geek Therapy® model and its community through different educational activities, including the annual TAGGS conference and this certification course.

This certification is designed to be accessible to all therapists, educators, and community practitioners, regardless of education level and experience. Qualifying course requirements range in price from “pay what you wish” to $100, depending on the venue and partnering organization. No additional fees are required for the certification itself, outside of the course.
