Lake Forest, CA – February 4, 2019 – Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of board games, trading cards, and physical and digital collectibles, today announced the February 15 release of CryptkinsTM: Series 2 vinyl figures. The second set of 2.25-inch figures based on Cryptozoic’s popular original IP features Kraken, Cerberus, Unicorn, Gryphon, and Blue Dragon, among many other creatures that have been the subject of folklore and tabloid headlines.
“We introduced Cryptkins vinyl figures a year ago, and the response has been incredible, with fans eagerly collecting them and asking for more,” said John Sepenuk, CEO of Cryptozoic. “Series 2 features more iconic mythical creatures that are cute and scary. We think collectors of all ages will love the unique designs of the figures, the fun packaging, and the Bio Cards that give insight into the backgrounds and personalities of the creatures. Cryptkins: Series 2 includes 13 vinyl figures, with 2 of them being rare (Adlet, Golden Dragon) and one ultra-rare (Unicorn). In addition, there are six hard-to-find Bone-Chilling Variants with black-and-white color schemes and feature bones painted on the exteriors of the figures.
Moreover, Hot Topic offers two exclusive variants at its retail stores: Kosmic Kraken and Hellhound (a variant of Cerberus).
Each figure in Series 2 comes packaged inside a collectible blind-reveal miniature crate that includes a Bio Card that shows a drawing of the creature on one side and information about the legend behind the figure and the creature’s unique personality traits on the other.
Cryptkins: Series 2 vinyl figures will be available at retailers nationwide on February 15 for a suggested retail price of $7.99 each. In addition, fans can collect Cryptkins digital stickers on the App Store and Google Play and Cryptkins digital trading cards, stickers, and figures on the Cryptkins Channel on the Quidd app.
