On a tranquil May evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden hue over Burbank, a spirited team named “FookYa” gathered at Brews Brothers Brewpub. The date? Sunday, May 8, 2022. The mission? To dive into a world of trivia, challenge our minds, and most importantly, make cherished memories.
Our squad, a vibrant mix of personalities and prowess, included Ariel Landrum (that’s me! 🙋♀️), my beloved big brother Oscar Landrum visiting all the way from the Philippines 🌏, JW Arrington, Joe Di Gaetano, and Travis Hayward. Oscar, with his worldly wisdom, was our secret weapon, while JW’s knack for pop culture had us covered. Joe and Travis, our dynamic duo, tackled the tough questions, ensuring we were always in the game.
As the questions rolled out, courtesy of our charismatic Quiz Master, the energy at Brews Brothers was palpable. Teams battled it out, answers were debated, and laughter echoed. But for us, it wasn’t just about the trivia. It was about bonding, especially since it was the last day of my brother’s trip. A bittersweet evening, filled with joy and a hint of sadness.
Beyond the thrill of the game, the night was a testament to the importance of mental well-being. Trivia isn’t just a game; it’s a mental workout, a way to connect, and a chance to cherish moments with loved ones. In today’s fast-paced world, such moments of connection and mental stimulation are invaluable.
