Murakoshi of METAX stated, “The anime adaptation of Dark Machine is the moment when our long-held dream comes true. This project is based on our passion for exploring the new frontier of merging ‘gaming’ with ‘Web3,’ and we are delighted to deliver the story to our fans in the new form of ‘anime.’ Dark Machine will continue to expand as a cross-media project, aiming to convey its charm to an even broader audience. Please look forward to it.”
Additionally, it was announced at the anime production announcement event that Fuji Television Network, Inc. will join as a partner, and will serve as the lead of the newly established anime production committee.
Takeeda from Fuji TV’s Anime Business Department said, “We are honored to be involved in the anime adaptation of Dark Machine. As this is the anime adaptation of a Web3 game project, it presents a wonderful opportunity to offer viewers a new form of entertainment. The anime production staff is eagerly anticipating the day when viewers can watch it.”
For the anime adaptation, Dark Machine has enlisted Goro Taniguchi, known for directing works such as “One Piece Film Red” and “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion,” as the creative producer, and Hidetaka Tenjin, renowned for his work as a mechanical artist in the “Macross” series, as the lead mechanical designer.
Goro Taniguchi commented, “There is no completion in the expression of anime. It must constantly seek new things and evolve. I am honored to have the opportunity to merge the potential of gaming with the narrative power of anime as the creative producer for Dark Machine. We are challengers. We aim to bring the efforts of all the staff involved in this project, striving towards the future, to our audience. We hope fans will thoroughly enjoy the world of Dark Machine.”
Hidetaka Tenjin stated, “I am very pleased to be part of this project as a mechanical designer. We have meticulously paid attention to detail in the mechanical design, pursuing both realism and impact. We hope viewers will immerse themselves in the world of Dark Machine through the intricate designs and dynamic movements.”
Animation production is being handled by Production +h., known for works such as “The Orbital Children” and “Dead Dead Demon’s Dededededestruction,” and production has already begun.
