Today was a thrilling kickoff to San Diego Comic-Con 2024, and as a long-time fan, I couldn’t be more excited to share the highlights from Hasbro’s incredible lineup. Whether you’re into Transformers, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, or Marvel, there’s something here for every collector and enthusiast.
Transformers
The Hasbro Transformers team wowed fans with the reveal of the Transformers Legacy United Dinobot Dinoking Multipack and an unexpected collaboration with Converse. The Dinobot Dinoking Multipack is a must-have for any Transformers collector, blending nostalgia with modern design in a truly epic set.
G.I. Joe
G.I. Joe returned with a bang, showcasing new additions to the Classified Series. Highlights include the Pulse Con exclusive G.I. Joe Classified Series #136, Edward “Starduster” Skylar, and the jaw-dropping HasLab G.I. Joe Assault Copter Dragonfly (XH-1). Attendees also got a first look at figures like Night Force Vincent R. “Falcon” Falcone & Quarrel and Steel Corps Commander vs. Twilight Guard. The 60th Anniversary Action Marine and Action Pilot figures were standout features, celebrating the rich history of G.I. Joe with meticulous detail.
Star Wars
Star Wars fans were not left out, as Hasbro revealed the Pulse Con exclusive Star Wars: The Black Series STAP & Battle Droid. This set captures the essence of the Star Wars universe, combining iconic elements with the high quality we’ve come to expect from The Black Series.
Marvel
Marvel enthusiasts were treated to the unveiling of the Marvel Legends Series Marvel’s Sentinels and Marvel Legends Series Kang the Conqueror. These figures are incredibly detailed and perfectly capture the essence of their comic counterparts. The Sentinel figures, in particular, are bound to be a hit among X-Men fans.
Beyond the Product Reveals
In addition to the product reveals, Hasbro has created an immersive experience at their booth. Fans can engage in activities like creating custom G.I. Joe file cards and getting airbrush tattoos of Hasbro brand logos. The booth also features demos from Robosen and the Transformers One Power Flip Optimus Prime, making it a must-visit spot for attendees.
Hasbro has also launched their first-ever Fanstreaming Studio, giving fans worldwide a front-row seat to the action. Hosted by Toy Hunter’s Jordan Hembrough, the studio will feature interviews with notable personalities like Arif S. Kinchen (Jazz) and Frank Todaro (Starscream) from Transformers G1, and Robert Kirkman, the comic book writer and Chairman of Skybound Entertainment.
Exciting Panels
The convention is packed with panels, including a special presentation of Transformers One by Paramount Pictures, featuring stars like Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry. The G.I. Joe Brand Panel will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the new Classified Series HasLab, while the Marvel Legends Panel will offer sneak peeks at upcoming products and a Q&A session with fans.
