Los Angeles, CA (February 3, 2025) — The Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County (NHMLAC) launched the fourth season of its NHM Online series, L.A. on Wheels.

As the next season of the continuing Being L.A. initiative, the video series will celebrate L.A.’s diversity — both in its people and in its methods of transportation.

In a city defined by its sprawling landscapes and vibrant neighborhoods, the ways Angelenos move tell a story of innovation, resilience, and connection. From bicycles to skateboards, lowriders to food trucks, and everything in between, Los Angeles is a dynamic hub where transportation becomes an art form and a reflection of cultural identity.

L.A. on Wheels explores how Angelenos have transformed movement into a celebration of creativity and community, capturing the rhythm and ingenuity of the city and offering a window into the ways mobility connects us to each other as part of the rich tapestry of life in L.A. It’s a celebration of the wheels that keep Los Angeles rolling forward, fueled by passion and powered by connection.

The first video of the 2025 season is out now, with a focus on “Biking While Black,” Yolanda Davis-Overstreet’s organization that advocates for safer streets and fosters a movement rooted in justice, equity, and joy. You can see the video and read the story now on NHM’s website.

Throughout the rest of 2025, L.A. on Wheels will feature fascinating features on wheelers and rollers such as the Derby Dolls, Velo Pasadena Bikeshop, Kanya Sesser, Hot Wheels, Lady Lowriders, CicLAvia and more. NHM will also host an in-person event later this year in support of the initiative, with more info on that to come.
