The Supernatural Detective Series Returns to Kickstarter With Fangs & Brimstone 5

PORTLAND, OR (OCTOBER 13, 2026) — Patrick Coyle has launched the Kickstarter campaign for Bixby Grant, Private Eye: Fangs & Brimstone #5, the fifth issue of a six-part supernatural detective series. The campaign runs through November 12, 2026.

The issue features art by Gonzalo Martínez, colors by Arthur Hesli, and editing by GLAAD and Eisner Award-winning Heather Antos. Gonzalo Ruggieri illustrates the backup story Zombietown, and Coyle letters both stories.

Demons Below Harbor City

Bixby Grant and Diego, a rockabilly vampire, have followed an ancient dagger into a demonic cult’s secret lair beneath Harbor City. Captured by monstrous goons, Bix must confront unresolved emotions about his brother Max while fighting to stop the cult from raising hell on Earth.

The 32-page issue includes 20 pages of Fangs & Brimstone and an eight-page chapter of Zombietown. In the backup story, Detective Maritza Ramirez searches for her missing father in Harbor City’s undead district, where zombie mafia leader Don Scarpino forces her to face her worst fears.

Variant Covers and Campaign Rewards

The cover lineup includes work by Veronica Fish and Francesco Francavilla, alongside a 3D lenticular variant by Coran Kizer Stone. The announcement offers the lenticular edition as an Early Bird reward during the campaign’s first 48 hours, limited to 25 copies.

“We’re entering the final act of the story, so things are going to get much worse before they get better,” said Coyle. “For Bix, as with many of us in the real world, dealing with emotional trauma and mental health is unsettling and difficult, but so important.”
