Featuring 56 Fearful Pages of Gut-Wrenching Romance in January!
PORTLAND, OR (OCTOBER 21, 2026) — Oni Press and William M. Gaines Agent, Inc. have announced Tortured Hearts 2 #1, a 56-page EC Comics one-shot arriving in comic shops on January 27, 2027. Just ahead of Valentine’s Day, the collection puts a horrifying spin on romance gone dangerously awry.
The announcement invites readers into tales of broken hearts and revenge from Michael W. Conrad (Wonder Woman), Melissa Flores (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Sarah Gailey (Eat the Rich), and Malachi Ward (Black Hammer), with artists including Jenna Cha (The Sickness), Ryan Kelly (Stranger Things), Sami Kivelä (The Forever Home), and more.
Oni Press describes the issue as a collection for the lovelorn, lonely, and jilted, bringing EC’s gruesome horror sensibility to its most volatile valentines. The release pairs its tales of romance and revenge with covers by Dustin Weaver, Reiko Murakami, Shawn McManus, and Patricia Martín.
