Off the Page Games & Skybound Tabletop Launch Corps of Discovery: A Game Set in the World of Manifest Destiny Kickstarter

Author: Newsroom

LOS ANGELES 04/29/2024 — Today Off the Pages Games, in a licensing agreement with Skybound Tabletop, launched the Kickstarter campaign for Corps of Discovery: A Game Set in the World of Manifest Destiny, an all-new cooperative tabletop game based on the groundbreaking comic book series from Skybound & Image Comics. The campaign is live on Kickstarter now

From the superstar team of creator/writer Chris Dingess (Marvel’s Agent Carter, TV’s Doom Patrol), artist Matthew Roberts (Universal Monsters: Creature from the Black Lagoon Lives!), colorist Owen Gieni (Rat Queens), and letterer Pat Brosseau (Creepshow), Manifest Destiny follows Captain Meriwether Lewis and Captain William Clark, as they set out on an expedition in 1804 to explore the uncharted American frontier.

When the series debuted with issue #1 on November 13, 2013, Chris Dingess and Matthew Roberts began to tell an action-adventure epic of a new monster birthed right in the heart of America. Manifest Destiny brought Lewis and Clark’s expedition to its conclusion after a historic nearly decade-long run, and now fans can continue to celebrate the series that created an alternate history of the United States.

“We have a long history of expanding our IPs through games and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Off the Page Games for this title,” said Garima Sharma, VP of Licensing & Partnerships at Skybound. “Corps of Discovery gives players a chance to dive into an immersive world of strategy, with stunning art, endless replayability, and an altogether great board game experience from a stellar design team.”

Designed by Sen-Foong Lim and Jay Cormier (MIND MGMT, Belfort, Junk Art), and with illustrations by Roberts, this cooperative game for 1 to 4 players tasks you with surviving the challenges of the untamed wilderness, gathering resources from the terrain and completing each chapter’s objective. Will you join the Corps of Discovery on their mission?

Lewis and Clark led the Corps of Discovery Expedition to journey across the country, exploring the land…and killing demonic monsters. No one’s sure where these monsters came from, but you’ll need the help of the nations already living there to succeed. Use logic and deduction to acquire the resources you need to solve daily challenges.

The Corps of Discovery: A Game Set in the World of Manifest Destiny campaign is live now on Kickstarter, with stretch goals and campaign-exclusive products to be announced through the close of the campaign, on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
