CULVER CITY, Calif. – April 23, 2024 – A beloved staple of Emmys FYC season, Prime Experience is returning for 2024 in a new home and with an even deeper dive into the unrivaled world-building of Prime Video’s hit series. The activation, which will be held at NYA West, allows members of the Television Academy and other entertainment industry guilds to experience first-hand the artistry behind Prime Video’s most successful shows through in-world installations, interactive exhibits, and show-inspired menus.
Upon entering Prime Experience, guests will be transported to the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout, the Hong Kong night market of Expats, the New York City brownstone of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and Gen V’s Godolkin University campus. Each interactive installation will allow voters to experience the blue-ribbon production design, cinematography, visual effects, casting, music, and hair & makeup that go into the craftsmanship of these series. Additional exhibits at Prime Experience feature writing, with life-sized manuscript pages from contenders like Red, White & Royal Blue and I’m A Virgo; hair & makeup, with a wall of portraits from shows like Wheel of Time, The Greatest Love Story Never Told and This Is Me…Now, and sound and music, with a pair of listening booths with comedy clips from Jim Gaffigan: Dark Pale, Jenny Slate: Seasoned Professional, and Tig Notaro: Hello Again.
Guests will also enjoy a rotating range of menu items themed to Prime Video series, including Perfectly Preserved Pie (Fallout), Pork Siu Mai Skewers (Expats), Filet Mignon on Toasted Sourdough paired with Pinot Noir (Mr. & Mrs. Smith), Bing Bang Burgers (I’m a Virgo), and Detroit Style Pizza served with ice cold beer in a red solo cup (Gen V), among other bites inspired by Prime Video titles.
Underscoring its commitment to community, Prime Video has aligned with Hollywood Food Coalition to donate the remaining perishable items from the event. This partnership ensures the event’s impact extends beyond the entertainment industry to support those in need.
Prime Experience opens on April 24th with an “Inspiration & Innovation” panel event featuring showrunners from across the slate and runs through May 20th with a lineup of 12 screenings, panels, and additional special events. Prime Experience will take place at NYA West, which is located at 1520 Wilcox Avenue, Hollywood. More information will be provided to invitees prior to each event.
