On a serene September evening, as the last remnants of summer gave way to the embrace of autumn, a group of trivia enthusiasts known as “4 Guys 1 Girl,” decided to make their mark at Brews Brothers Brewpub in Burbank. The date was Sunday, September 18, 2022, and the stage was set for an unforgettable night of wit, wisdom, and camaraderie.
Our team, a dynamic blend of talents and tastes, comprised Ariel Landrum (yours truly), Greg Lozano, Joe Di Gaetano, Travis Hayward, and Billy Madden. Greg’s extensive knowledge of video games proved invaluable for several questions while Travis and I harmonized as the music maestros. Joe and Billy, our movie aficionados, brought their cinematic expertise to the table, ensuring we were well-equipped for any film-related queries.
As the evening progressed under the watchful eye of our personable Quiz Master, Mark “The Wicker Man,” the atmosphere at Brews Brothers was electric. Teams vied for the top spot, but for us, it was about the journey, the shared moments, and the joy of learning together. And what a journey it was! We proudly secured our spot in second place, a testament to our collective knowledge and teamwork.
Engaging in trivia is not just a fun pastime; it’s a way to challenge our minds, foster social connections, and create lasting memories with friends. In a world where mental well-being is paramount, such activities offer a refreshing break, stimulating our brains and nurturing our bonds.
