PORTLAND, Ore. 10/16/2026 — The Last Driver #1 by superstar creator Sean Gordon Murphy (Batman: White Knight, Tokyo Ghost, Punk Rock Jesus, The Wake) has sold out yet again, day-of-release, at the distributor level. Image Comics will rush this breakout debut issue for a show-stopping fourth reprint this week in order to keep up with accelerating demand.
The Last Driver #1, fourth printing will feature new cover art by Murphy paying homage to the iconic Back to the Future film.
"A fourth reprinting?? This is nuts," said Murphy. "Okay, time for the Back to the Future homage I promised my readers…"
As technology in America advanced, cities began creating the GRID: a robotic transportation system that not only made cars obsolete, it made them illegal. But an outlaw named “Clutch” has no choice but to get behind the wheel one more time. What starts out as a race to save his granddaughter's life quickly turns into a rebellion against technology, fascism, and the future of a divided America.
Escape from NY meets Vanishing Point in this high octane cyberpunk action comic perfect for fans of Petrol Head, Death Or Glory, and Tokyo Ghost.
