Pascal Jouselin’s Award-Winning All-Ages Comic Is Back in Action This January!
PORTLAND, OR – (OCTOBER 26, 2026) – Oni and Magnetic Press – the Eisner Award-winning publisher celebrating prestige graphic novels from around the globe since 2013 – are proud to announce the triumphant return of a global comics sensation in MISTER INVINCIBLE REDUX by French comics phenom Pascal Jouselin (Chihuahua). On January 27, 2027 the highly acclaimed, award-winning Mister Invincible collection returns to print in a new 144-page edition, featuring forty-eight all-new pages of format-bending adventure and creativity for middle grade readers!
"The magic of Pascal's work is like untangling a Rube Goldberg device or watching dominoes fall perfectly, wondering if things are going to unfold successfully, but they inevitably do through the cleverness of his exploitation of the sequential art format itself.” said Magnetic Press’ Director of Publishing, Mike Kennedy. “This book plays with the fourth wall in so many fun ways; it makes the reader part of each strip or adventure."
Mister Invincible is a playful, inventive comic series by Pascal Jousselin starring a superhero whose power isn’t strength or speed but the ability to manipulate the comic page itself. He steps between panels, reaches across gutters, and bends time and space by treating the layout as his battlefield. The stories in MISTER INVINCIBLE REDUX mix slapstick humor with clever format tricks, creating adventures that are as much puzzles as they are superhero tales, appealing to both kids and adults who enjoy seeing the medium turned inside out.
Here’s what people are saying about Mister Invincible:
“Gives new meaning to thinking outside the box, as mainstays of comics structure become opportunities for breathtaking formalist experimentation-transposing space and time, abstracting the solid, solidifying the abstract-to mind-bending effect…Jousselin breathes joyous life into the form for fans and scholars of every age.” —BOOKLIST
"Mister Invincible's team ultimately saves the day not with cosmic punches or fancy utility belts but by knowing just how fun it is to exist in panels on a printed page. Perhaps that is the lesson Mister Invincible teaches us longtime fans. The future of comic books lies not in ever flashier superpowers but in the wonders of the medium itself." — NEW YORK TIMES
“Mr. Invincible, grounded and irreverent of his status as a major superhero, exudes infectious charm as he inspires those around him.” — PUBLISHERS WEEKLY STARRED REVIEW
